Over four decades ago, 21-year-old Gene Strusz and his new bride, Marilyn, rented an apartment in Appleton, Wisconsin. Filling in for a teacher on sabbatical to complete his master’s degree, Gene was to teach one year at a Christian high school on the north side of Appleton named Fox Valley Lutheran. Never leaving, Gene retired from that very same school at age 64. God had a plan and Gene was blessed to serve his Lord within the walls of a school centered on Christ Jesus. As the athletic administrator, Gene was one of the school’s leaders, who led the school with morning prayers. To assist today’s Christian teachers, Gene is sharing many of his morning prayers in this book.
