Katherine Burik is a human resource executive with demonstrated expertise in implementing human resource strategies to solve business problems and maximize results. She is an energetic and creative leader with a service focus to human resources. She has specific expertise in strategic human resource planning and coaching leadership teams to improve performance and results. The Interview Doctor sprang from Katherines observation, based on her human resource experience and work with recruiters that candidates need to improve their interviewing skills. In her previous life as Vice President or Director of Human Resources at several businesses in Chicago and Northeast Ohio, Katherine reported to the President and CEO, responsible for the entire array of human resource functions including strategic planning, performance planning and rewards, benefits administration, employee development, employee relations, and recruiting. She has been laid off more times than most people she knows. Contrary to public opinion, being laid off can be liberating! Katherine is a member of the Northeast Ohio Human Resource Planning Society, the Society of Human Resource Managers, the American Society of Training and Development, and the Worldwide Association of Business Coaches. She earned her BA in History from Northwestern University and MS in Industrial Relations from Loyola University of Chicago. She has been certified as a Senior HR Professional by the Society of Human Resource Managers and is certified as a Registered Corporate Coach.
