Chapter One
Ho hum, it's a rainy day.
I guess this means inside I will stay.
At least for a while inside I will play, until the rain goes away.
Oh, it's okay—I do have a cozy home with special people all my own.
Such tender care and love I'm shown.
No other pets—just me alone.
Heavens! What would be the need to have another pet indeed?
Just another mouth to feed.
Anyway, I am all they ever need.
Oh, how I do love the poetry, but that's that.

It feels just amazing on my calico fur.
Oh! By the way, I'm a calico cat—quite an amazing breed we are. Oh! And I do like the word amazing, in case you had not noticed.
Oh dear, Chester the Cat is coming.
Chester is a black-and-white cat in the neighborhood.
He's quite a good friend;
I'm just not in the mood for a play friend today.
I quite feel like exploring on my own.
Hmmmm, maybe I can find an amazing hiding spot where I can't be located.
I know just the place.
